Springfield Library Update: Getting Back to Normal

 

 

We can't wait to welcome you back!   During these past fourteen months, we have continued to work on ways to make the library better than ever and we think you will be happy with what we've accomplished so far.  

 

            Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the library will begin operating under the following schedule:

Mondays:        10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Tuesdays:        10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Wednesdays:  10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Director of Recreation Recognized by New Jersey Recreation and Park Association

Adam Lieb, Springfield's Director of Recreation since 2014, received the New Jersey Recreation and Park Association (NJRPA) Association Service Award at the organization's annual awards dinner on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, held at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. The award recognizes a member who reflects high professional values and has rendered contribution through outstanding service to the profession, distinctive service to the association, and/or conspicuous service to their constituency, on a national, state, or local level.

Football Registration Open for Rising 3rd-8th Graders this Fall

The Springfield Recreation Department and the Springfield Jr. Dawgs Football Organization announce that registration is live for youth football for Fall 2021! Teams are open to rising 3rd-8th graders in Springfield and Millburn schools. Practices begin in late-Summer 2021. Menlo Park Mall Bus Trip Attracts Senior Citizens

Springfield senior citizens spent the afternoon of May 20, 2021, at the Menlo Park Mall shopping and dining, on a bus trip sponsored by the Springfield Recreation Department. Bus trips are chaperoned and follow COVID-19 protocols. Scream Truck Is Here!

On Monday April 19th we returned to the scene of the Scream!  Scream Truck that is.  Mayor Weber and Chamber Co-Chair Mike Scalera climbed into the truck and headed towards the Town Hall escorted by Chamber Co-Chair Scott Seidel and the Auxiliary Police.  Stopping at the Mayor’s house, neighbors were treated to some ice cream, then off we went to Town Hall.  At Town Hall employees and a few passersby sampled the ice cream.  Then back to 30 Hillside Avenue to their headquarters for the Ribbon Cutting and a small celebration with their employees, famil

Senior Citizens Visit Farmer's Market and Coppola's on Bus Trip

Senior citizens ventured out on a bus trip to the Central Farmer's Market and enjoyed lunch at Coppola's -- both in New Providence -- on Friday, May 14, 2021. The trip was chaperoned by Donald Wilkenfeld, Recreation Bus Driver (pictured, left), and followed COVID-19 protocols.
