Springfield Resident, Lora Condon, Wins $1500 and Donates to Freedom Alliance

Springfield Resident Lora Condon, was the winner of the Compassion Category in the international esthetic competition, The Skin Games, for her work with serving and retired soldiers, their families and first responders. Ms. Condon donated her $1500 prize to Freedom Alliance, a charity that works directly with soldiers and their families. Lora’s winnings went to the college scholarship fund that has donated over $11 million dollars to children whose parents have either been killed or permanently disabled in action.

St. James Says Good-by to Fr. Everest Baniyet

The parish community of St. James the Apostle Church in Springfield said farewell to its priest- in-residence, Rev. Everest Peter Baniyet and wished him Godspeed on Sunday, June 25, 2017, with a special mass followed by a barbeque on the church grounds.  The mass was concelebrated by Rev. Joseph F. Springfield’s Fourth of July celebration will be held on Tuesday July 4th 2017

The celebration is held at Meisel Ave Park in Springfield, between Laurel Drive and Linden Avenues.   250 Meisel Ave., Springfield, NJ will lead your GPS right to the Field.  Gates open at 5 pm and there is $5 per person donation collected at the gate.  Children under 2 are free.  People are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on, but no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the County Park.   Rides for children open at 5 Pm, which include a petting zoo, pony rides, moonwalk, trackless train and more!  The concert, featuring the wo
