On Thursday evening, March 13, 2014, a family living on Battle Hill Avenue, arrived home to find their house in flames. Fortunately, a neighbor had called for help. Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 35 minutes, but it was a large fire and there was extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the home and to the family’s possessions. Thankfully, their pets survived. The family of four is currently staying in a hotel thanks to Springfield HOPE. Your monetary donations are needed to continue to help this family.
