Book Sale Donations Sought by Friends of the Springfield Library For August Book Sale

The Friends of the Springfield Library will hold their annual Book Sale Monday – Thursday, August 4 - 7, 2014 at the Springfield Free Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave. in Springfield.
Donations of clean, well kept, hard cover and paperback books, DVD’s, CD’s, and educational toys may be brought to the library Saturday, July 19 – Saturday, August 2. Small donations may be brought to the library’s circulation desk. For larger donations, please call 973-376-4930 ex 221 to arrange for a drop-off. Please place large donations in small to medium sized cartons. Books in poor condition, Readers Digest Condensed books, and text books are not saleable and will not be accepted. Donations of fine and costume jewelry, recent popular magazines, and some paperback books are accepted at the Circulation Desk all year.

There will be a preview sale on Mon., Aug. 4, 10am – noon for members of the Friends. Memberships will be accepted the day of the sale. Memberships start at $10. The Public sale will begin at noon on Aug. 4.

Sale hours are: Mon. Aug. 4th noon – 4pm, Tues. Aug. 5th and Wed. Aug 6th 10 - 4, and the sale will end with a bag sale on Thur. Aug. 7th 10 - 4. Each filled bag will cost $5 and the Friends will provide the bags.

The sale will also include a selection of costume jewelry. The Friends Annual Jewelry Sale will be October 17-19, 2014 with a preview sale for members on Thursday, Oct. 16, 12-2pm.
