Important Storm Preparedness Information
Due the anticipated severe storm conditions, all municipal office will be closed on Tuesday, January 26.
Please be aware that Township officials and members of the Township’s Emergency Management team met today to ensure preparations are being made in anticipation of the blizzard conditions for today and tomorrow. We are confident measures are in place to provide the needed services to combat this storm. Please be aware of the following points:
• Stay home during the storm.

• Cars are prohibited from being parked on any roads effective immediately and until further notice. It is essential that plows are able to clear the full width of the roadways.

• Plowing or blowing your snow onto the streets is not permitted

• For non-emergencies, please call the police department at 973-376-0400. Only Call 911 for emergency situations

• Recycling pickup for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Thursday. At this time, garbage pickup will not be impacted.
• Garbage collection for Thursday and Friday will occur as regularly scheduled.
• If you lose power, it is important that you notify JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877). Don’t assume that your neighbors have called.
• The Department of Public Works advises that salting roadways will occur and the Township has an adequate salt supply to handle the storm.

• Additional information is posted on our website www.springfield-nj.us. This information will be updated regularly.

On behalf of the Township of Springfield, please be safe.
