Springfield postal officials are inviting the public to a grand reopening celebration for the new Springfield Post Office retail unit at 210 Mountain Avenue. Highlights of the gala celebration include an 8:45 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony, an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with guided tours, give-aways, and light refreshments.

The new retail unit at 210 Mountain Avenue features an upgraded customer service lobby with state-of-the-art Point of Sale (POS) digital equipment. It replaces the 225 Mountain Avenue retail location that the Postal Service leases. The 7,470 sq. ft. postal owned facility at 210 Mountain Avenue housed only the carrier – delivery operations since 1999. The reduction in the need for floor space in delivery operations has enabled the Postal Service to consolidate operations in Springfield under one roof.

Retail business hours, carrier routes, delivery times, and collections remain the same:

The Retail Business Hours are:
Monday – Friday……. 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday……………..10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
