a. Proclamation – Youth Art Month 2016 Endorsement
b. The Township mourns the loss of Ethel Smith, age 93, who passed away on Feb. 1st.
Mrs. Smith, a registered nurse, enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps in 1944 and was stationed in
the South Pacific where she met her late husband, Bill. After her service, Ethel resumes her
nursing career at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside. Ethel and Bill were active
in the First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post. Both were instrumental in
organizing the Memorial Day Parade and served as Grand Marshals. ​

4. Ordinance 2016-05 – This ordinance amends Chapter XXXV,”Land Use”,
of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township, by amending
Article III, “Definitions”, Section 35-7,” Definitions and Descriptions”, to
add definitions for “Massage” and “Massage Establishment”, and by
amending Article V, “District Regulations”, Section 35-14, “Schedule
of Zoning Limitations”, to provide that Massage Establishments be
allowed only in the HC Commercial Zone, and only as a Conditional
Use, and by adding subsection j to Article VII, “Exceptions and
Modifications”, Section 35-41, Conditional Uses”, Subsection 35-41.2,
“Specific Requirements”, setting forth specific requirements for
Massage Establishments.
