This is a message from Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) concerning this weekend’s wind storm.

JCP&L continues to restore the remaining 3,388 customers affected by the severe wind storms that hit the region late Saturday evening into Sunday. Restoration to the remaining customers is expected to be completed by midnight Monday. While the restoration continues, water and ice are being distributed free of charge. Customers in the affected areas may pick up $5 worth of water & ice by presenting identification at the customer service desk at the following stores.

JCP&L reminds customers to report any downed power lines to the company or local police or fire departments. Never touch downed lines because they may still be carrying electricity. Customers should also never try to remove trees or limbs from power lines.
