On December 27th the Township Committee presented Mayor Fernandez with a plaque that read:

Presented to Jerry Fernandez in recognition of your tireless effort and devotion to the Township of Springfield
Township Committeeman – 2011 and 2011
Deputy Mayor – 2012
Township Committeeman – 2014 and 2015
Mayor – 2016

Mayor Fernandez served on the committee for six years, as Mayor, Deputy Mayor and as a committee member.
