Springfield Library Friends Spring Sale Coming in May
Children’s and YA Books Plus Select Fashion Accessories
DONATIONS BEING SOUGHT NOW
The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library Book Sale this year will be a Children’s and YA’s Book Sale plus Select Fashion Accessories and it will be held Wednesday - Saturday, May 3 - 6, 2017 at the Library. Donations for the sale are being accepted now through Tuesday, May 2nd at the Springfield Free Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave. in Springfield. The Sale hours will be Wednesday, 12 noon – 8:30pm, and Thursday - Saturday, 10 – 4.
All donations should be clean, well kept, Children’s and YA books, Educational Games/Toys/and Puzzles, DVD’s/CD’s/and Audio Books for all ages, Popular Magazines (last 3 mos.), and Adult Paperbacks. Donations of Fine and Costume Jewelry, Ladies/Men’s/and Children’s fashion accessories such as Handbags, Wallets, Scarves, Belts, Umbrellas, and Hair Clips as well as Fragrances are also being sought. All donations should be brought to the library’s Circulation Desk. Books and other items in poor condition, text books, and encyclopedias are not saleable and will not be accepted. No Adult Hardcover books please. Donations of fine and costume jewelry, recent popular magazines (3 months), and paperback books are also accepted at the Circulation Desk all year long.
Please note that the Friends Vintage Jewelry Sale will be held in October, 2017. This Spring Sale is the only book sale scheduled this year, there will not be a sale during the summer so bring in all your Children’s and YA books, etc. now and plan to shop May 3-6.
The Friends organization was founded 50 years ago on August 17, 1967. A day-long celebration is being planned for Thursday, August 17, 2017. Watch for details on the plans later this spring.
The Friends is a tax exempt 501c3 non-profit organization. All proceeds benefit the Springfield Free Public Library. Monies raised this year will fund various programs and resources in 2018 so please help make this sale a success.
