Sara Keffer, Recreation Program Coordinator, is moving on from Springfield. Sara has recently been appointed as the full-time Director of Madison's senior citizen department. She began working for the Recreation Department as a part-time Recreation Assistant in the Chisholm Community Center's youth wing in March 2016, and she transitioned to part-time Recreation Program Coordinator, focusing on senior citizens, in September 2016. During her tenure, Sara organized and chaperoned successful senior citizen bus trips, assisted in the senior citizen bus grant recordkeeping, and oversaw the daily senior citizen transportation service. A long-time Springfield resident, Sara graduated from Jonathan Dayton High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Administration from Kean University. She has also worked as a part-time Assistant at the Springfield Free Public Library. Sara's last day is Monday, May 8th. Springfield is grateful for Sara's service and we wish her success and fulfillment in her career.
