On Wednesday evening, June 14, 2017 B’nai B’rith of Union County honored 27 individuals at its 61st annual dinner dance held at Exquisite Affairs Caterers at Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, 60 Temple Drive, Springfield, N.J..  Over 100 attended the gala evening which raised funds for B’nai B’rith, Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael and other worthy charities.  Honorees included Robin L. Ross, who received the B’nai B’rith International Eleanor Roosevelt Humanitarian Award, Rabbi Cecelia Beyer, Assistant Rabbi of Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael of Springfield, N.J., who received the B’nai B’rith International Eshet Chayil Award, Dr. Gary Hecht who received the B’nai B’rith International Community Service and Civic Affairs Award, Brett Ari Fischer who received the B’nai B’rith International Young Leadership Award and 22 people who have been members of the group  for 50 years or more received the Keter Shem Tov Award and 50 year membership pin.  The evening featured music and dancing after the program.
