a. Proclamation Breast Cancer

b. The Township extends its condolences to the family of Leo Spirito, 86, who passed away peacefully

     on October 2.  Mr. Spirito was well known not only in Springfield but Union County and the State for

     his work in recreation and was a sports official and assignor for high school soccer, football,

     basketball, baseball and softball.  He was the recipient of many awards for his work and devotion

     to recreation programs.. 

c. The last date to register to vote in the November 7 General Election is Tuesday, October 17, and

    the Township Clerk’s Office will be open until 8 p.m.

d. Halloween Spooktacular – Sponsored by the Recreation Department, Springfield Patriot Chamber

    of Commerce and Springfield Municipal Alliance & Red Ribbon Week, Sunday, October 29, at

    Chisholm Community Center, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

                             the Code of the Township, Chapter XXXV, Land Use Regulations, to correct a typographical

                             error in the prior ordinance, by amending Section 35-34, Affordable Housing Standards.

                 i. Resolution 2017-245– This resolution is in support of the (F.O.P.) Fibrodysplasia Ossificans

                    Progressiva Awareness Initiative.

                 ii. Resolution 2017-246 – This resolution approves retiree medical insurance coverage to

                     full-time employee Judd Levenson upon his December 1, 2017 retirement in accordance

                     with the Police SOA Agreement.

                  iii. Resolution 207-247 – This resolution authorizes the acceptance of grant money under

                      the Police Body Armor 2017 Replacement Grant.

                   v. Resolution 2017-249 – This resolution is for approval to submit a Grant Application and

      2015 and 2016.
