Saint James Students Create Food Gift Baskets for Families In Need in Town

Thanks to our sponsors

Students from St. James the Apostle School created baskets of canned and non-perishable food to be distributed to the needy.   This was in keeping with the tradition started years ago by parishioner Anthony Dimurro, the founder of Lilly's Pantry. Pictured with the children are Scott Seidel (left) and Dr. Gary Hecht (center), Springfield Hope Trustees, and Barbara Noonan  (right), a member of the St. James Faculty and coordinator of the project.  The baskets along with a complete Thanksgiving meal were delivered on Tuesday, November 21st, to Families in need in Springfield by the Springfield Rotary and Springfield HOPE.  Springfield HOPE is a 501c3 not for Profit Corporation that helps those in need in Springfield.  HOPE exists solely on donations from the public which can be made payable to Springfield HOPE, and mailed care of Dr. Gary Hecht, 201 Mountain Ave. Springfield, NJ.
