Springfield Patriot Chamber of Commerce Meeting Highlights 12-21-17

Thanks to our sponsors

Over 25 people attended the Springfield Patriot's Chamber of Commerce meeting this morning.  It was held at the Hilton Gardens and sponsored this month by Regal Bank.

Here are a few highlights from the meeting:

Rotary – December 14th Rise Against Hunger was a success.  Over 150 volunteers turned out to help prepare and package meals.  Thank you to the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Lion Club and the Township Committee and all the other volunteers.  Over 30,000 meals were packaged.

Springfield H.O.P.E. – Toys for Springfield Kids completed another successful year.  Forty-five families received toys for their children.  The remaining toys were being delivered by Scott and his elf today to the Union County Welfare Program in Plainfield.

Springfield Historical Society – Chief Cook spoke about how important the Cannon Ball House is to the history in Springfield.  Please consider making a contribution to the fund raising to help continue with the needed work to the Cannon Ball House.  Preserving history is so important for the future generations.  Donations may be made payable to the Springfield Historical Society and sent care of John Cook at the Police Department, 100 Mountain Ave.

On behalf of the Springfield Patriot Chamber, Mike Scalera and Scott Seidel wished everyone Happy Holidays and a Happy & Healthy New Year.  Looking forward to a lot of great things happening in 2018.
