Samaritan Outreach Services (SOS), held their third annual fundraising benefit at the Costa Del Sol in Union on November 3, 2017.  SOS, which began as a ministry of The Abundant Life Church in Springfield, consists of 3 main facets; Outreach Services which provides the most basic needs to the homeless, The Samaritan House, which is a treatment / sober living facility, and lastly a work therapy program (SOS Work Services). We are the first employer that the men will be evaluated by, and our hands on approach addresses stamina, work ethic, and Christian values in the workplace.   There were nearly 200 people in attendance who heard from Founder Rev. Joseph Cancelliere about the mission and vision of SOS.  Executive Directors Robert and Gina Stoppiello as well as graduates gave testimonials of their own struggles with addiction and the success they have experienced over the past 20 years using this Christ centered approach to recovery.
