Springfield Community Partnership January Board Meeting Highlights:

The Board elected Officers for 2018. Scott Seidel and Mike Scalera will continue to serve as Co-Chairs, Robert Abraham will continue as Secretary and Paula Kaiser will remain Treasurer for this year.

 

Beth Lippman submitted a letter to the Township on behalf of the Board requesting they Bond $700,000 to cover the costs of the streetscape work on Mountain Avenue. The BID will pay back all costs related to this Bond.

 

A Strategic Plan committee will be meeting to begin developing a plan for the next 5 years.  Focus Groups representing the businesses in the BID will be scheduled to get input from our Stakeholders regarding issues and needs they would like to see addressed.

 

Beth Lippman and Mike Scalera, representing the Springfield BID have been meeting with other Union County BID and Economic Development Managers to share ideas.

 

Marketing:

Holiday Coupon:  The BID distributed 3000+ booklets to participating businesses and general public areas around town.  The coupons were also available on-line with a mobile link. The program runs through the end of January.

 

Facebook Page

The Facebook page remains very active with close to 3000 fans and average posting reach of 7-10,000 people per week.  

 

Springfield App

We presently have over 60 deals on the App and will replenish them for the late winter and early spring.  Deals and events remain the most viewed areas on the App as expected.
