May will be another exciting month of activities and trips for Springfield's senior citizens. The Springfield Recreation Department's calendar includes a Zoom lecture by Kevin Woyce on "NYC Skyscrapers: 1870-1931;" pickleball; rummikub; twice weekly bingo (sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside on Wednesday, May 5, 2021); "Shape Up with Liz" and "Forever Fit with Betsy" exercise classes; daily fitness room and computer lab; bus trips to the Menlo Park Mall, Central Farmer's Market, and Coppola's Ristorante; three times weekly local bus service; and our monthly "Conversations" discussion group moderated by Lori Barnett, LCSW. All activities and trips have current COVID-19 safety protocols in place. A detailed May calendar can be downloaded at www.springfield-nj.us/recreation or mailed to you upon request. If you know someone who may be interested and is not online, please share this announcement. Questions? Contact the Springfield Recreation Department at [email protected] or (973) 912-2227.
