Just a reminder that  the Springfield Free Public Library will open for browsing by appointment, beginning 12:15 on Monday, May 17.   We will begin taking  reservations for browsing appointments  at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 12    To make a reservation, please call 973 376-4930, ext. 221.

1.    Reservations will be for a 30 minute time period and available at this time only for Springfield residents.

2.   Entry into the library will be through the side door (the one with the awning) that is located opposite the First Aid Squad.

3.   You must make an appointment in advance; drop-ins will not be admitted.

4.   Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult who is at least 18 years of age.

5.   Temperatures will be taken upon entering the library; anyone with a temperature above 100.0 will be asked to leave the building.

6.    All patrons will be required to be properly masked, regardless of vaccination status.  7.    Social distancing  between patrons who are not part of the same household or pod  and between patron and  library staff members will be observed.

8.   Library restrooms will not be available to the public.

9.   During this first week, we ask that you not schedule more than one browsing appointment so that everyone who wants to can get a chance to come inside the library to  browse.

10.  The library will continue to provide curbside pickup service as an alternative to coming inside the library.

We can't wait to see you back!   Please contact Library Director Dale Spindel at [email protected] or 973 376-4930, ext.. 227 if you have any questions or concerns.
