Springfield Library Update: Getting Back to Normal

Thanks to our sponsors

We can't wait to welcome you back!   During these past fourteen months, we have continued to work on ways to make the library better than ever and we think you will be happy with what we've accomplished so far.

Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the library will begin operating under the following schedule:

Mondays:        10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Tuesdays:        10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Wednesdays:  10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Thursdays:       10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Fridays:           10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturdays:      10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Sundays:         Closed

Appointments for inside browsing and library computer use will continue through Thursday, May 27.

Beginning Friday, May 28, the library will resume regular operations including the following:

Both the front and side entrances to the library will be open.

Library restrooms will be open.

Appointments will not be needed to enter the library either for browsing or for using library computers

There will be no limit on the amount of time library patrons may spend inside the building.

Social distancing will no longer be required inside the library.

Access to the library and all library services, with the exception of curbside pickup, will

be available for people who are not residents of Springfield.

Curbside pickup service will remain available for residents of Springfield on a limited schedule.

Masking rules will continue to be in place for all members of the public who are not yet fully vaccinated.   Because children under the age of twelve have not yet had the opportunity to be vaccinated, we request that all patrons over the age of two wear a mask when they are in the children's room

As always, if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns, please reach out to Library Director Dale Spindel at [email protected]  or by calling  973 376-4930, ext. 227.
