The Township of Springfield celebrated Pride Month with a rainbow flag raising and rainbow crosswalk dedication at the Chisholm Community Center yesterday, Monday, June 14, 2021. The event included DJ music by Summit Soundz; informational tables by the Union County Office of LGBTQ Affairs and Elvira Chaush of New York Life Insurance; live performance by Front & Center for Performing Arts; greetings by Mayor Chris Weber, Union County Commissioner Chairman Al Mirabella, Director of Recreation Adam Lieb, and Assistant Director of Recreation Brendan O'Reilly; student remarks by Jonathan Dayton High School seniors Abigail M. and Sara S.; children's crafts; and rainbow ice pops.
