Adult Game Nights to Start at the Springfield Library

Thanks to our sponsors

Beginning Thursday, July 8 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM the Springfield Library will host Adult Game Night in the Donald B. Palmer Museum every Thursday evening in July and August. Currently, there is a group that will be playing mahjong. Those interested in canasta, chess, or Scrabble are encouraged to inform Library Director, Dale Spindel at [email protected] and she will determine if there is enough interest to add new games.

The library will provide bridge tables and chairs as well as some gaming materials such as a couple of mahjongg sets as well as Scrabble and chess sets. Because not all of the library’s games are in perfect condition, it is recommended that participants bring their own games to ensure that they are complete and in good condition.  The library will not provide additional items such as mahjongg cards that may be needed to play.

People of all skill levels are invited to attend and participants are asked to respect one another and accommodate all levels of play. It is up to the players to work together to enable everyone to participate regardless of skill level. The library will not be involved in organizing the games or matching skill levels.

Adult Game Night at the Springfield Library is a great way to gather with old friends or make some new ones. For more information or to express interest in joining, please contact Dale Spindel at [email protected] or call 973-376-4930.
