Touch-A-Truck for Tots at the Springfield Library

Thanks to our sponsors

Fire trucks, front loaders, ambulances and more! Touch-A-Truck is coming to the Springfield Library from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 11. With vehicles from Springfield’s own Fire Department, Rescue Squad, and the Department of Public Works, there is sure to be a truck to interest everyone.

Children of all ages, including the very youngest, will be delighted to get up close to all sorts of interesting vehicles. While everyone can literally touch the trucks, for safety purposes participants will not be allowed to climb on or enter any of the vehicles.

“It’s always exciting to connect books to real life experiences and since books about trucks, fire engines, and vehicles in general are always popular requests, this event is extra special,” says Children’s Librarian, Brie Mintz.

Touch-A-Truck is just one of the many summer library programs for children For more information about this and other events at the library go to www.sfplnj.org or call 973-340- 376-4930. Registration is not needed for this family event. In case of inclement weather Touch-A-Truck will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 18 and all information will be posted on the library’s website.
