Recreation Department Releases September 2021 Calendar for Senior Citizens

Springfield's senior citizens have a full schedule of activities and trips to keep them active this September! The Springfield Recreation Department's calendar includes: Springfield Senior Citizens Club in-person meeting on Thursday, September 30 (RSVP required); pickleball; rummikub; mahjong; twice weekly bingo (treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside on Wednesday, September 15); "Shape Up with Liz" and "Forever Fit with Betsy" exercise classes; daily fitness room and computer lab; beach bus trip to Ocean Grove on Tuesday, September 21 (RSVP required); and a lunch bus trip to Olive Garden in Springfield on Friday, September 10 (RSVP required). Free local bus service with the Springfield Recreation Department is currently available to senior citizens three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) from 9:00 am-2:00 pm, but will expand to daily from 9:00 am-3:00 pm beginning on Monday, September 13.
