Springfield Unity Project Held its Second Annual 'David Mitchell Community Day' to Honor First Responders

Thanks to our sponsors

On Saturday, September 25th the Springfield Unity Project (S.U.P) held its second annual 'David Mitchell Community Day' to honor our First Responders. David Mitchell was a life long Springfield resident who loved his town, his classic cars and the first responders who keep our town safe. David's fight with cancer ended recently and being that he was a founding member of S.U.P it was only fitting to honor his commitment to the Springfield Unity Project by naming this event after him.

David's brother, Kevin, spoke at Community day and donated a tapestry to the township that displayed an image of David. Springfield pride was on display as township residents, teenage band "Twice Heard" and DJ "J-Dub" rocked the crowd with a variety of music. Mayor Weber and Deputy Keiser addressed the crowd with remarks about David and to thank our first responders.
