Springfield's senior citizens will have a busy month of November -- both in and out of town! The Springfield Recreation Department's November calendar includes: Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting on Thursday, November 18 featuring vocalist Dan Yates (RSVP required); St. Barnabas Medical Center speaker on "Healthy Eating at the Holidays" on Tuesday, November 23; rummikub; mahjong; bingo (treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside on Wednesday, November 24); "Shape Up with Liz" and "Forever Fit with Betsy" exercise classes; daily fitness room and computer lab; computer training sessions with Linda; bus trip to Bridgewater Commons on Friday, November 12 (RSVP required); bus trip to Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck on Tuesday, November 16 (RSVP required); and bus trip to Wind Creek Casino (formerly Sands) in Bethlehem, PA, on Friday, November 19 (advance payment required). Free local bus service is currently available to senior citizens daily from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. All activities and trips have current COVID-19 safety protocols in place.
