Check Out This Week’s Progress at the Library!

As you can see from the three attached pictures, the walls in the children’s room now look as good as new and remediation work is also moving full steam ahead  in staff offices and workroom areas.   The next step in the process will be the installation of brand new carpet tiles throughout the children’s room, teen room, AV room, new book and circulation desk areas.

While it is still too soon to give a definitive date for when the library will be fully back to normal, I do anticipate that there will be a phased reopening of the building, with access to the children’s department, AV room, new book area, AV room and circulation desk areas happening first.   Once we get to this point, our patrons will again be able to use the Springfield Free Public Library as a pick up point for items being requested from other member libraries of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC).

As always, I am here to answer your questions, address your concerns, and help with any library related problems that you may have.   Please email me at [email protected].
