Recreation Department Releases May 2022 Calendar for Residents 55+

As the summer approaches, Springfield's citizens who are over 55 will have plenty of activities to keep them moving in May! The Springfield Recreation Department's calendar includes: weekly poker, dominos, rummikub, and mahjong; three times weekly pickleball (free annual registration required); twice weekly bingo (treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside on Wednesday, May 11); "Shape Up with Liz" and "Forever Fit with Betsy" weekly exercise classes (free annual registration required); daily fitness room (free annual registration required); daily computer lab; two computer training sessions with Linda; bus trips to Jersey Shore Premium Outlets on Tuesday, May 10, PNC Bank Arts Center on Wednesday, May 18, Jimmy Buff's on Thursday, May 19, and Turtle Back Zoo on Wednesday, May 25 (RSVP); Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center discussion on "Balance and Falls" on Thursday, May 5 (RSVP); AmeriCare Physical Therapy presentation on Thursday, May 12 (RSVP); Springfield Senior Citizens Club monthly meeting and luncheon on Thursday, May 26 (RSVP by Friday, May 20). Free weekday local bus service is currently available, with some exceptions, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
