Heat Advisory & Cooling Center

Thanks to our sponsors

From the Springfield Office of Emergency Management (OEM):
The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory in our area. A Heat Advisory is issued when the combination of extreme heat and humidity temperatures are expected for any length of time. Senior citizens and those with chronic health problems or mental health conditions are at an increased risk. Use air conditioning to stay cool at home. Check on vulnerable friends, family members, and neighbors. Stay hydrated! Make sure your pets also stay out of the heat and are hydrated as well. The Chisholm Community Center (100 South Springfield Avenue) will be available if you need a place to stop in and cool down: Tuesday 7/19/22 at 8:00 am-10:00 pm, Wednesday 7/20/22 at 8:00 am-10:00 pm, Thursday 7/21/22 at 8:00 am-8:00 pm, and Friday 7/22/22 at 8:00 am-6:00 pm.
