Recreation Department Announces November 2022 Calendar for Residents 55+

November 2022 will be another busy month for Springfield residents ages 55+! The calendar includes: weekly poker, dominos, rummikub, and mahjong; computer lab; open-play pickleball in the Chisholm Community Center's Lee Adler Memorial Gymnasium (free annual registration required); pickleball lesson with a U.S. Sports Institute coach on Wednesday, November 16; weekly bingo (treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside on Wednesday, November 9); "Shape Up with Liz" weekly exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room now open on weekdays from 9:00 am-6:00 pm (free annual registration required); bus trip to Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck on Thursday, November 3 (RSVP required); Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center presentation on Diabetes on Tuesday, November 15 (RSVP); and the Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting and luncheon featuring live music by Dan Yates on Thursday, November 17 (RSVP and $7 payment is required by Thursday, November 10).

Free weekday in-town bus service is available, with some exceptions, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm. To schedule an advance reservation (highly encouraged), please call the Springfield Recreation Department at (973) 912-2227, on weekdays between 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
