Recreation Department Announces December 2022 Calendar for Residents 55+

Springfield residents ages 55+ will wind down 2022 with a fun-filled December! The calendar includes: weekly poker, dominos, rummikub, and mahjong; computer lab; open-play pickleball in the Chisholm Community Center's Lee Adler Memorial Gymnasium (free annual registration required); weekly bingo (once monthly treats sponsored by Arbor Terrace Mountainside); "Shape Up with Liz" weekly exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-6:00 pm (free annual registration required); bus trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse (sold out); movie day; bus trip to the Mall at Short Hills (RSVP required); and bus trip to TGI Fridays (RSVP required). Eligible residents are encouraged to make an appointment to donate blood at the Chisholm Community Center on Thursday, December 29, by calling (732) 672-5281.

Free weekday in-town bus service is available, with some exceptions, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm. To schedule an advance reservation (highly encouraged), please call the Springfield Recreation Department at (973) 912-2227, on weekdays between 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
