Recreation Department Announces April 2023 Calendar for Residents 55+

April will be a busy and exciting month for Springfield residents ages 55+! The Springfield Recreation Department's calendar includes: weekly poker, dominos, rummikub, and mahjong; computer lab; open-play pickleball and a coach-led beginner's lesson in the Chisholm Community Center's Lee Adler Memorial Gymnasium (free annual registration required); weekly bingo; "Shape Up" with Liz weekly exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-6:00 pm (free annual registration required); lunch bus trip to Miller's Ale House in Watchung (RSVP); Trinity Rehab Fall Risk Screening and Prevention Workshop with snacks (RSVP); Movie Day with hot dogs (RSVP); the Springfield Senior Citizens Club luncheon and reports by township officials (RSVP required by Friday, April 14); and Senior Citizens Health Day presented by the Springfield First Aid Squad's Cadets (RSVP).

Free weekday in-town bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions). To schedule an advance reservation (highly encouraged), please call the Springfield Recreation Department at (973) 912-2227, on weekdays between 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
