a. Notice: This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975, Chapter
231 and adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by a Notice sent to The Star
Ledger, The Local Source and posted in the Main Lobby of the Municipal Building and on the
Township website.

2. Proclamations & Announcements
a. During the entire month of April, DPW crews will canvass the Township in the garbage
packer truck for vegetative waste. Branches 4 inches in diameter and smaller, leaves and
grass will be collected. Please note material must be placed in recyclable bags or cans.
Loose debris in roadway will not be picked up!

b. Springfield Community Cleanup, Hosted by Springfield Environmental Commission and
Department of Public Works, Sunday, April 23, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community service
hours offered.
c. Senior Citizens Health Day, Sponsored by Springfield First Aid Squad’s Cadets,
Sunday, April 23, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Chisholm Community Center. Refreshments
will be served and Giveaways while supplies last. Please email RSVP to

away on April 7. Leo was Township Engineer for many years retiring in 1989.

1. Bond ordinance to authorize the making of various public improvements and the
acquisition of new, additional or replacement and machinery in, by and for the
Township of Springfield, County of Union, State of NJ, to appropriate the sum of
$1,185,000.00 to pay the cost thereof, to make a down payment or fully fund
appropriations from the Capital Improvement Fund, to authorize the issuance of
bonds to finance such appropriation and to provide for the issuance of Bond
Anticipation Notes in anticipation of the issuance of such bonds.
