    1. Notice:           This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975, Chapter 231 and adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by a Notice sent to The Star Ledger, The Local Source and posted in the Main Lobby of the Municipal Building and on the Township website.

e. The Township extends our condolences to First aid Squad President Liz Fritzen,

    her family and the First Aid Squad on the passing of Liz’ Mom, Gloria Simpson.

    Gloria was a long-time resident and worked for the Police Department as

    Records Clerk for 43 years. A lifetime Member of the First Aid Squad, Gloria

    served the residents of Springfield for over 60 years and for her service was

    awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the NJ State EMS Council, the

    Overlook Hospital Excellence in EMS Award and the Springfield Chamber of

    Commerce EMS Award.  Gloria passed away on July 29 at 96 years of age.

                        unanimously carried, the Minutes of April 25, Special Meeting and Executive

                        Meeting of May 9, Regular Meeting of May 9 and Regular Meeting of May 25,

                       2023, were approved.

                1. Ordinance 2023-15 – This ordinance amends the Township Code at Chapter 7 to

                    amend the Township’s traffic regulations prohibiting right turns on red at certain

                    intersections and times.

               2.Ordinance 2023-16 – This ordinance is appropriating the sum of $230,000.00 from

                 the Swimming Pool Capital fund and Capital Improvement Balances of the Township

             registration fees collected by the Police Department.

            iv.Resolution 2023-206 – This resolution awards a contract through the Union County

                Cooperative Pricing System, BA#47-2021, to SBP Industries (COAF).

            v.Resolution 2023-207 – This resolution approves the street closing and banner hanging

            vi.Resolution 2023-208 – This resolution approves the banner hanging and street

                closing applications by Saint James Church on various dates for the purposes of

          vii.Resolution 2023-209 – This resolution awards a contract to Crossroads Paving

              Company for Storm Culvert Improvements at Cain Street and Sanitary Sewer
