November Activities Announced by Recreation Department for Residents Ages 55+

November will be an active month for Springfield residents ages 55+! The Springfield Recreation Department's calendar includes: bingo (treats sponsored monthly by Arbor Terrace Mountainside), poker, dominos, rummikub, mahjong, and puzzles; computer lab; open-play pickleball at the Chisholm Community Center (free annual registration required); "Shape Up with Liz" and "Forever Fit with Betsy" exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room now open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); bus trip to Delicious Orchards (RSVP); bus trip to Woodbridge Center Mall and Boscov's (RSVP); and Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting, luncheon, and live music (RSVP by Thursday, November 9).

Eligible residents age 55+ are encouraged to make an appointment to donate blood at the Chisholm Community Center on Monday, November 27, from 1:30-7:30 pm, by calling (732) 672-5281.

Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions, such as legal holidays, bus maintenance, and other bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call 973-912-2227.
