NOTE: This may not be the order of business. There may be additions or deletions. Regular

Session - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m.

1. Call to Order

a. Notice: This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975,

Chapter 231 and adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by a Notice

sent to The Star Ledger, The Local Source and posted in the Main Lobby of the

Municipal Building and on the Township website.

2. Proclamations & Announcements

a. Springfield 55+ Residents Calendar July & August 2026.

b. Springfield Public Library is pleased to host a summer concert on Wednesday July

15 th . Tree Oh! will be performing at 6:30pm in front of Town Hall. Bring your own

lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of classic rock ad popular music favorites. In the

event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved indoors at the library.

c. The next Committee Meeting is Tuesday, August 18th at 7pm.

d. All storm debris must be place by the curb no later than Sunday, July 19 th . Please

do not block storm drains. Debris must not exceed 5 feet in length or 10 inches in

diameter. Brush placed at the curb after July 19 th will not be collected.

e. The BID is pleased to announce a Music Festival Thursday, July 23 rd , from

6pm – 8pm. Music by the Characters. Free ice cream and hot dogs while supplies

last.

1. Ordinance 2026-13 This ordinance amends the land use provisions at

Chapter 35 of the Township Code within § 35-10.1 (Amendments to Zoning

Map) to rezone the rear portion of the property located at 171 Route 22

East Bound (Block 3703, Lot 1) from the General Industrial (I-40) Zone

District to the Highway Commercial (H-C) Zone District.

2.Ordinance 2026-14 This ordinance amends the land use provisions set

forth in Chapter 35 of the Township Code by permitting car washes as a

conditional use within the Highway Commercial (H-C) Zone District

pursuant to §35-41 (Conditional Uses), thereby amending Appendix A,

Schedule of Zoning Limitations of Chapter 35 to include car washes as a

permitted conditional use within the Highway Commercial (H-C) Zone

District, establishing specific conditional use standards for car washes

within §35-41.2 (Specific Requirements), and adding a definition of a “car

wash” within §35-7 (Definitions).

bidding law to Portofino Builders LLC for the Resurfacing of Linden Avenue
