NOTE: This may not be the order of business. There may be additions or deletions. Regular Session - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m.
1. Call to Order
a. Notice: This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975, Chapter 231 and adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by a Notice sent to The Star Ledger, The Local Source and posted in the Main Lobby of the Municipal Building and on the Township website.

2. Proclamations & Announcements
a. Springfield 55+ Residents Calendar June 2026.
b. Springfield’s Pride Month Celebration, Friday, May 29, Chisholm Park (near
Community Center) 6:30pm, rainbow flag raising, speeches, live musical performances, 7:30pm “Wicked” on big screen, refreshments. RSVP for event
c. Celebrating 250 Years - In God’s Sight Saturday, May 30th at the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield. Free and open to the public. Doors open at 12:30pm, event 1pm- 3:30pm.
d. The Farmers Market will open on Monday, June 1st from 1pm-5pm. Come and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables as well as PickleLicious, Hoffman Bread, Audrelle’s Mobile Coffee and Empanada Lady. Every Monday through October 26th.
e. The vote by mail drop box is located in the Chisholm parking lot by the handicapped ramp. Early voting begins Tuesday, May 26th and ends Sunday, May 31st. Visit the County website for participating Municipalities www.unioncounty votes.com. Please note Springfield does not offer early voting.
f. Primary Election is Tuesday, June 2nd. Polls are open from 6am – 8pm.
g. The Town Wide Garage sale is scheduled for Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th from 9am – 6pm. While no permit is required to participate, we ask that you register your address on the town website. This will allow residents and visitors to easily locate all participating homes.
h. Bulk pick up is Wednesday, June 10th. Please have all items out by Tuesday evening.
i. Overnight parking permission request will now be accepted online. Please visit www.springfield-nj.us/departments/police/. Questions can be directed to traffic@springfield-nj.us.
j. Please be advised that garbage collection will increase to twice a week starting Tuesday May 26th through Friday September 4th. Collection days will be either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, depending on your location.

1. Ordinance 2026-09 This bond ordinance authorizes the making of various
public improvements and the acquisition of new additional or replacement
equipment and machinery, new communication and signal systems equipment,
new information technology equipment and new automotive vehicles, including
original apparatus and equipment, in, by and for the Township of Springfield,
County of Union, State of New Jersey, to appropriate the sum of $2,967,500 to
pay the cost thereof, to make a down payment, to authorize the issuance of
bonds to finance such appropriation and to provide for the issuance of bond
anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance of such bonds.
