Recreation Department Announces March 2026 Calendar for 55+ Community

The Springfield Recreation Department’s March 2026 calendar for the 55+ community includes: a variety of 

games such as poker, dominos, rummikub, and puzzles; computer lab; indoor open-play pickleball (free annual registration required); “Shape Up with Liz” weekly exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); “Art With Andrea” creating eyeglass holders and necklaces (RSVP); RWJ Barnabas Health presentation on Diabetes (RSVP); lunch bus trip to Stage House Tavern in Mountainside (RSVP); bus trip to Wind Creek Casino (pay $25 in advance); and the Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting (RSVP by Thursday, March 12).

 

On Monday, March 30, eligible residents are encouraged to make an appointment to donate blood at the Chisholm Community Center from 1:30-7:30 pm, by calling (732) 672-5281. Walk-ins are also welcome.

 

Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 8:45 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions such as legal holidays, bus maintenance, and special bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call (973) 912-2227.
