As we begin to enjoy warmer weather, May 2025 will be a fun-filled and active month for Springfield residents ages 55+! The calendar includes: a variety of games such as poker, dominos, rummikub, mahjong, and puzzles; computer lab; open-play pickleball and a coach-led beginner's pickleball lesson at the Chisholm Community Center (free annual registration required); "Shape Up with Liz," "Forever Fit with Betsy," and "Music & Movement with Lisa" exercise classes (free annual registration required); fitness room open on weekdays from 9:00 am-8:00 pm (free annual registration required); Springfield Senior Citizens Club meeting (must RSVP by Friday, May 23); and a lunch bus trip to Fujiyama Mama in Westfield (RSVP). On Friday, May 16, eligible residents are encouraged to make an appointment to donate blood at the Chisholm Community Center from 1:00-7:00 pm, by calling (732) 672-5281 in advance. Free weekday in-Springfield bus service is available from 9:00 am-3:30 pm (with some exceptions such as Memorial Day, bus maintenance, and special bus trips). Advance reservations are highly encouraged. Please call (973) 912-2227. If you know someone who may be interested in our activities and is not online, please print and share the calendar, or we can mail it upon request.
