Summer Writing Classes for Ages 9-18 at Chisholm

Registration is open for Writing Classes this Summer at the Chisholm Community Center, taught by Party Maniacs in partnership with the Springfield Recreation Department! Classes begin soon! Questions and to register, contact Scott at partymaniacsnj@comcast.net or (201) 988-2445.

Writing classes are held: Ages 9-14 on Tuesdays 6/23/26-7/28/26 and ages 14-18 on Thursdays 6/25/26-7/30/26, from 6:00-7:00 pm. The cost is $180 per child. 

Ages 9-14: Calling all writers! Looking for a way to workshop your skills this summer and write creatively? Look no further! We are offering a class that allows students to practice their skills and learn from a writing student at Hofstra University! Students will walk away with perfected grammar, better description writing abilities, and a short story of their own! This class offers a fun outlet for creative students to blossom and test their writing abilities without the pressure of a grade!

Ages 14-18: Interested in creative writing? Want to understand what it takes to write a book or a movie? This summer, students will learn how to hone in on what makes your writing and storytelling unique! This class offers students the ability to analyze their favorite pieces - from book to films - and then write their very own. The workshop allows students to creatively find their voice and become the best writer they can be - especially ahead of writing a college entry essay!
