Township Committee – October 28, 2025 at 7 p.m.


NOTE: This may not be the order of business. There may be additions or deletions. Regular

Session - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m.

1. Call to Order

a. Notice: This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975,

Chapter 231 and adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by a Notice sent

to The Star Ledger, The Local Source and posted in the Main Lobby of the Municipal

Building and on the Township website.

b. Pledge of Allegiance led by Carl Ostergaard, Jr., Commander, American Legion

Post #228.

2. Proclamations & Announcements

a. Springfield 55+ Residents Calendar November 2025.

b. Pizza with the Police Wednesday October 29 th at TD Pizza from 5pm-7pm.

c. Poll Workers Needed. Earn $300 for the November Election call 908-527-4123 for

details. Early voting sites open from October 25 th – November 2 nd . Please visit Union

County Board of Election website for locations. The Drop Box for mail in ballots has

been open since September 19 th and is located in the back parking lot of Chisholm.

d. Flu Clinic Wednesday November 5 th 4-6pm at Chisholm. No appointment required.

e. Leaf collection starts Monday November 3 rd thru December 31 st . Only grass and

leaves will be collected. No branches or sticks. Please keep all leaves no closer

than 10 feet from storm drain or catch basin.

f. All Township Offices are closed Tuesday, November 11 th for Veterans Day. A

ceremony will be held on Veterans Day at Veterans Park at 11 a.m.

g. The next Township Committee Meeting will be Wednesday, November 12 th at 7 p.m.

h. Blood Drive in Remembrance of Detective John P. Patrick, Wednesday,

November 5, 1pm-7pm, Chisholm Community Center. Appointments

General Licensing of the Township Code to include provisions governing

Redemption Amusement Devices.

restrictions on the distribution of single-use food service items by food and

for the Township’s Department of Public Works.

i. The Township accepts the resignation of Rita Faundez, Mayor’s representative to the

Library Board of Trustees, effective immediately, for a term ending December 31, 2025,

and also accepts the resignation of Cheryl Mullman as Member of the Library Board of

Trustees at the termination of her term on December 31, 2025.
