2015 Leaf Collection Process

2015 Leaf Collection is Rapidly Approaching

The onset of autumn is here as is evidenced by the falling leaves on our lawns and in our yards. We at the Public Works Department would like to advise all homeowners that the leaf collection process for 2015 will begin on November 2.The following is a brief description of the collection process that will be employed by the Department. Past experience has illustrated that the following system is the fastest and most efficient way of completing the collection process.

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention

campaign in the country.  This year Red Ribbon Week will be

celebrated in Springfield from October 23-31, 2015.

Red Ribbon Week serves as a way for communities, individuals

and families to focus on keeping our children safe through a

commitment to drug abuse prevention and education and a

commitment to live healthy, drug free lives and build safer

communities.  Additionally, Red Ribbon Week commemorates the

a. Notice: This meeting is being held in accordance with the Public Laws of 1975, Chapter 231 and

JCP&L to Conduct Aerial Inspections

Please be advised that Vista 1 plans to start performing Inspections on the JCP&L transmission lines beginning Monday August 17th. The Aerial Inspections in the JCP&L region typically require about 2 to 3 days for completion, depending of course on weather conditions, as well as other scheduling needs. The helicopter will be flying slowly (20-30 mph) along the lines, and may hover at any time for a closer inspection. The helicopter scheduled for these patrols is a black and silver Bell 206 w/ registration (tail) number N321AW. Please see attached photo for details.
