The Springfield Free Public Library is excited to introduce you to our latest e-reading experience - The Palace Project. Thanks to the funding provided by the New Jersey State Library, all residents of New Jersey can now access The Palace Project for free. The Palace Project is an e-reading platform that has been developed by and for libraries. With the Palace app, you can easily access the library's digital collections in one place. You can enjoy thousands of free e-books and audiobooks from the Digital Public Library of America-curated Palace Bookshelf, which has around 17,000 items.

Learn to Ice Skate this Spring with Springfield Recreation Department and Union Sports Arena

Learn to ice skate this spring! Union Sports Arena is excited to offer 6 weeks of indoor ice skating lessons for Springfield children ages 4-13 on your choice of Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays 3/11-4/25 (no lessons 4/1-4/5), from 3:45-4:45 pm, in collaboration with Springfield Recreation Department. Lessons are held at Union Sports Arena (2441-A Route 22 West). The cost is $110 per child and there are no make-ups. Pink Zone Basketball Clinic Raises Money for Breast Cancer Research

On Sunday, February 11, 2024, Pink Zone celebrated over a decade in Springfield! Co-sponsored by the Springfield Recreation Department and the Springfield Basketball Association (SBA), the event was held at Jonathan Dayton High School's East and Main Gymnasiums. The annual youth basketball clinic was chaired by SBA coach Jonathan DeSteno, and was led by coaches and players from Moravian University and Jonathan Dayton High School. The clinic raised thousands of dollars to support breast cancer research and awareness for the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund.
